Read...Write...Think!!  Children Having Fun At Our 2011 Summer Reading Program
We have embarked on our most ambitious project to date.  The objective of this history-preservation project is to capture and document our collective memories and the history of Antigua and Barbuda.

The project includes collecting photos, art, short stories, folklore.  We are also conducting an extensive and comprehensive oral history project throughout the Antigua & Barbuda Diaspora.  At the project’s completion, we will establish a permanent home for the collection at the new National Library in Antigua.  By completing this project, we give honor to our ancestors, an celebrate each other’s lives.

Read the stories submitted by visiting our story blog located at Antigua & Barbuda Stories.  If you would like to participate in this project, please contact us at info@foapl.org.
Write an 800 to 1,000 word story about your experiences growing up in Antigua and/or Barbuda.  You may focus your theme on family, friends, church, school or village life.  Our committee will select, compile and publish submissions for Fall 2011.  Feel free to include photographs that you feel may illustrate your subject matter.  For more information go to Antigua Stories link, or contact us at info@foapl.org.
